For some odd reason I was feeling myself becoming attracted to Chico. Even though I barely knew him, I could tell that he was a good person. The fact that he was fine as hell was an added bonus.

I was glad the family meeting was a success, because I was tired of going through all the crap. I just wanted to get back to a normal life, whatever that was.

The next day I woke up with Chico on the brain. Jason had an early practice so I went to my mother’s house. As soon as I saw Papi, I hit him up for Chico’s contact information. Come to find out he was staying at my mother’s old spot.

After finally deciding to just pop up on him, I stopped by the store and picked up a bottle of Champagne. I wanted to celebrate his success and properly welcome him to our company.

“I hope you don’t mind me just coming by unannounced.” I asked him feeling a little ashamed when he answered the door in his boxers and a wife beater. “I thought you might want to celebrate and plus go over a few things concerning the listening party.”

“No, I don’t mind at all. Just give me a second to throw on some shorts.” Chico welcomed me in as he went to the back to change.

I was astonished to see that he had a state of the art keyboard on a stand. I chose to mess around on it while I waited. I began to play the music I wrote for my ceremony.

“Is that a love song you’re playing?” Chico questioned as he walked back in the room. “I had no idea you could play?”

“Yeah, I play a little and sing a little.” I confessed shyly. “That was something for my upcoming wedding.”

“Don’t tell me you are about to do the lockdown thing?” Chico clowned. “No, I’m messing with you, congratulations.”

“Thank you very much.” I replied continuing to play the keyboard.

“I should have known someone as beautiful as yourself was spoken for.” He admitted as he rubbed his head then switched subjects. “You said that you could sing a little, do you want to show me?”

“Dang, you really know how to put a girl on the spot.” I laughed. “You have any requests?”

“How about some Faith?” Chico hastily answered. “I can picture you singing her song, As soon as I get home.”

Once I began the melody, I lowered my head focusing on the keys and sang from my heart. When I looked up, Chico was on the couch looking teary eyed.

“Was that okay?” I asked nervously awaiting an answer.

“That was incredible! You made that song your own.” He spoke in a low voice as he came to embrace me. “That was my mother’s favorite song.”

I could tell he was getting a little emotional so I tried my best to comfort him. After just a few moments of close body contact, my sexual senses were heightening. I offered to pour him a drink, because I definitely needed one.
